Tepi Sawah Lodge & Retreat, hotel in Jatiluwih

Situated near Jatiluwih, Tepi Sawah Lodge & Retreat is located in Wongaya Gede village on the slope of Mount Batukaru. Free WiFi access is available in this holiday park.

Tepi Sawah was a great reminder that I don’t need air conditioning, artificial background noise, wifi or even walls to have a good night’s sleep. Just natural light and dark, the sound of wildlife, feeling at home with good people (and maybe mosquito repellent). If you’re in need of a reset, stay here.

KUBU D'UME HOMESTAY, hotel in Jatiluwih

Set within 34 km of Tanah Lot Temple and 34 km of Blanco Museum in Jatiluwih, KUBU D'UME HOMESTAY features accommodation with seating area.

I really had an amazing time here! The setting and location is beautiful, it quiet, scenic, and peaceful. The staff was super nice, helpful, and very accommodating to our needs. Although our stay was short, it was really relaxing to enjoy the cool breeze and the view of the rice fields and mountain. It is quite a walk to Jatiluwih but managable and you could rent a motorcycle if you wanted. Walking around the property is also nice to enjoy in the late afternoon. I would love to comeback and stay here again!

Tegal Jero Homestay, hotel in Jatiluwih

Offering a barbecue, children's playground and sun terrace, Tegal Jero Homestay is located in Jatiluwih in the Bali Region, 38 km from Kuta.

The 2 bed apartment was very spacious, my kids really loved this place. It’s about as close to Mt Batukaru as you can get, and short walk from village. Bathrooms were very clean. The owners are very accommodating - Adi organised at short notice a guide to take my husband up the mountain and one to take the kids and I on a shorter jungle trek (Kadek was so patient with my kids, it’s a great activity for them, they learned so much). He also organised an excellent driver to get us to Lovina with a stop in the middle. All good prices. We really appreciated and relied on his efforts to make sure we had a lovely stay. The gardens are beautiful, and we had a great breakfast each morning, with coffee and other fruits grown on the property.

Ti Amo Bali, hotel in Jatiluwih

Featuring free WiFi, Ti Amo Bali offers accommodation in Penebel. Kuta is 32 km from the property. Free private parking is available on site.

Everything was amazing! The staff are so welcoming, helpful and warm. The food was all freshly prepared with love. The breakfast overnight oats was delicious. So nice to wake up two mornings in the tranquility of the rice paddies and be able to step in and walk about there. I had a massage and it was also so great. The swimming pool was perfect for a dip after trekking the rice paddies. But no need to even go to Jatiluweh as the rice paddies at the hotel are so beautiful Thanks to Ellen and her team for a beautiful stay.

Very sweet owner (thank you for your kindness), very nice place in the middle of the jungle! I really liked the room in the middle in the nature. They both showed me their garden and gave me some yummy fruits, as well they explained how to work on their ricefield. There is also a very nice river next to the accommodation where you can swim at. The food was extraordinary. So definitely come here when you wanna have an extraordinary balenese traditional stay!!! :))

This is basic accommodation, but reasonable value for money.

This is basic accommodation, but reasonable value for money. It's immediately across the road from the terraces, and the walking track access. The owner is a nice guy, and does everything, reception, cleaning, cooking, etc. The breakfast was basic but tasty, and the Chicken Curry he cooked for me for lunch one of the best I've had in a while. He has a very friendly dog that followed me everywhere, and enjoyed a pat and tummy rub.

The region of Jatiluwih is known for the beautiful rice fields. You really have to make a tour through these rice fields by walking. We did the bicycle tour, but without electric bike this is not recommended, because of the very hilly course at the end. We drunk a cup of nice Balinese coffee and ate a delicious pineapple pancake in the village and we noticed that everyone there is nice, helpful and relaxed. We love this place!

Beautiful rice terraces with well-signed walking paths that let you enjoy them thoroughly. There are a number if restaurants with a great view over the rice terraces. I chose the pricier one called Gong Jatiluwih. The food was very nice and the view excellent. The place also has an ATM

Outstanding views of very large rice terrace area.

Outstanding views of very large rice terrace area. Very good walking and cycling on tourist paths around terraces. Could see the well maintained water irrigation systems in action. Walked up the hill round the corner from the rice terraces to the temple at the top of the villages and then found the trekking path and trekked through the forest to the top of Mount Batakaru that is Bali's second highest mountain. Area is therefore very good for rice terrace views and mountain trekking.

Tegal Jero is located in a wonderful area of mountains, jungle, rice terraces, close to a charming village and temple. Adi, the host was friendly and helpful. We recommend excursions with Yoman, the taxi driver and especially recommend a trek in the jungle with our wonderful guide, Koman. The unit included two bedrooms, each with an attached bathroom and a living area. The lanscape was beautiful. We had a great time staying at Tegal Jero. Excellent value for money.

Please don't look for another place to stay! The lodges are in a beautiful natural place, near the scenic but not crowded Subak Piak Ricefields, and also near Batukaru temple (you can go to both by foot). The breakfast and dinner were delicious (thanks for the lak lak and dadar!). Dewi and her husband are adorable, they will take care of you (but without being intrusive), and they can organise activities like Trek, cooking class... Thank you so much!

This is basic accommodation and priced accordingly. The room was clean, bed comfortable, no aircon required in the mountains, but a small pedestal fan was provided. Wifi was fast and reliable with one notable drop out, but that was external to the property, and affected the entire area. The host cooked a great curry chicken lunch, and breakfast, whilst basic was tasty. I selected Banana Pancakes, with Balic offee, and wasn't disappointed.

It was a cozy place nested in the middle of nature, Ibu Nyoman was so accommodating, they prepared a bed for our driver which not so many places do in Bali, we helped her in cooking, we prepared a very comfy family dinner together, set up the table, in the morning the place was beautiful, the beds were comfy, and the toilets were open to the sky and natural, loved everything, above all the cute kitten kept us entertained all night and day.

Absolutely amazing place with a unique charm. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed every moment. The views are breathtaking and watching the sunrise starts your day perfectly. We went to visit the Jatiluwih rice fields, hiked Mt. Batukaru, explored nearby temples and always went back to relax in this beautiful villa, to have their excellent tea and tasty food. The staff is great and carrying. Thank you for a fantastic time!

Great homestay in Wongaya Gede/Batukaru area, if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Bali. Owners of homestay are also the Hosts and treat all the guests as friends, not something you will get from big hotels. The kitchen is one of best area to meet other guests and talk to the hosts, or just to hang around or sit and drink tea/coffee, it is a working kitchen and guests' lounge at the same time.

I stayed here when I visited Jatiluwih rice terraces. 15-20min ride from there. I loved the surrounding as it is at the end of a village, with nice garden area, very quiet. My cottage was simple, but clean and cute, not too close to other cottages, made me feel very private. They have a bar restaurant area with a cute dog and a cat. Adii is very nice and talkative, make sure your stay is comfortable.

Where to start, we were amazed by the place so beautiful and peaceful, the room is really nice and comfortable. I really recommend the food which is delicious, probably the best we had in our 1month trip in Indonesia. The owner makes you feel like home. We were able to walk through their ricefields which was really nice. They even brought us to some attractions and to our next hotel.

So yourself a favor and stay there for one or two nights. - Clean, spacious, redone rooms with lots of light. - View over the terraces - from your bed. - Steps away from the trails. - Near restaurants. I felt good there. I would come back and work remotely from there if I wanted to escape the traffic of Ubud and take some fresh air on the trails.

The location. If you do stay in Jatiluwih, this is off the main road with lovely views. The staff are friendly enough but limited English and knowledge of the area. They are happy to lend you umbrellas and a torch for the dark road of needed. I think its overpriced as limited facilities and the stray dogs/cat are an annoyance.

I highly recommend staying here at least a couple nights, renting a scooter and going on local adventures. Also Argus was a great driver for getting me to and from my stay at Kubu.

One of the best secret hideout in the island. Lovely, authentic, gracious host. Yummy organic local snacks / desserts. Great team. They are supporting circular economy by introducing local’s crafts & shopping ingredients locally. Heavenly location / spot. Wish all Bali’s hotels have mindset like theirs.
