This is basic accommodation, but reasonable value for money.
This is basic accommodation, but reasonable value for money. It's immediately across the road from the terraces, and the walking track access.
The owner is a nice guy, and does everything, reception, cleaning, cooking, etc.
The breakfast was basic but tasty, and the Chicken Curry he cooked for me for lunch one of the best I've had in a while.
He has a very friendly dog that followed me everywhere, and enjoyed a pat and tummy rub.

The region of Jatiluwih is known for the beautiful rice fields. You really have to make a tour through these rice fields by walking. We did the bicycle tour, but without electric bike this is not recommended, because of the very hilly course at the end.
We drunk a cup of nice Balinese coffee and ate a delicious pineapple pancake in the village and we noticed that everyone there is nice, helpful and relaxed. We love this place!

Peaceful! Beautiful place for retreat.
Peaceful! Beautiful place for retreat. Plenty of organic fruits to eat. You can laze around and visit places at your own pace. No other mode of transportation than renting a car, though. Would have love to have a local public transport.

Beautiful rice terraces with well-signed walking paths that let you enjoy them thoroughly. There are a number if restaurants with a great view over the rice terraces. I chose the pricier one called Gong Jatiluwih. The food was very nice and the view excellent. The place also has an ATM

Outstanding views of very large rice terrace area.
Outstanding views of very large rice terrace area. Very good walking and cycling on tourist paths around terraces. Could see the well maintained water irrigation systems in action.
Walked up the hill round the corner from the rice terraces to the temple at the top of the villages and then found the trekking path and trekked through the forest to the top of Mount Batakaru that is Bali's second highest mountain.
Area is therefore very good for rice terrace views and mountain trekking.

Amazingly peaceful and scenic and a welcome escape from Denpasar. The Bali Silent Retreat was a wonderful experience which exceeded my expectations with amazing meals and wonderful
Volunteer yoga and meditation teachers. I was particularly inspired by yoga teacher Elizabeth Bromfield during my stay.
My room was just in front of rice field with excellent views, clean and with good facilities. Bed was comfortable, staffs were very friendly.
I came at right season of ripping time of all the tropical fruit. I took the advice of the owner, took a walk with guide, anywhere I went, there were fruits hang on trees, fantastic!
Weather was very good, 20-27 degrees, nicest weather in Bali, need a sweater at night.
Hint: Find a moment to stay outside in the evening, otherwise you will miss the sky with full of stars, and shooting stars.
This is basic accommodation and priced accordingly. The room was clean, bed comfortable, no aircon required in the mountains, but a small pedestal fan was provided. Wifi was fast and reliable with one notable drop out, but that was external to the property, and affected the entire area.
The host cooked a great curry chicken lunch, and breakfast, whilst basic was tasty. I selected Banana Pancakes, with Balic offee, and wasn't disappointed.
It was a cozy place nested in the middle of nature, Ibu Nyoman was so accommodating, they prepared a bed for our driver which not so many places do in Bali, we helped her in cooking, we prepared a very comfy family dinner together, set up the table, in the morning the place was beautiful, the beds were comfy, and the toilets were open to the sky and natural, loved everything, above all the cute kitten kept us entertained all night and day.
A beautiful location and a huge room. The ‘garden’ is stunning and the surrounding rice terraces are amazing. Imade and Santi made us feel like family. Fantastic organic food made with ingredients from the garden.
Kadek took us on day trips to waterfalls, lakes, temples and rice terraces. We highly recommend these!
Also, should you need it, the best Wi-Fi we have had in Bali.
Missing the whole place already but we will be back!
I stayed here when I visited Jatiluwih rice terraces. 15-20min ride from there. I loved the surrounding as it is at the end of a village, with nice garden area, very quiet. My cottage was simple, but clean and cute, not too close to other cottages, made me feel very private. They have a bar restaurant area with a cute dog and a cat. Adii is very nice and talkative, make sure your stay is comfortable.
A lovely place hidden 100m from a very quiet main road. Perfect for peace and relaxation. Ibu Nyoman and Pak Gede were tremendous hosts and ibu's evening meals - mainly foraged from the garden - were wonderful. About 20 minutes from the Jatiluwih rice terraces but don't miss a visit to Subak Piak which is not well known but really beautiful.
The location was super nice between the rice fields and close to waterfall and Jatiluwih.
The place is very calm and Kubu D'Ume staff is so welcoming !
They even tooke time to take us to a little walk around the homestay and share what they know about Indonesia and the local culture.
A beautiful stay up in the Jatiluwih / Penebal area. The views from the bungalows are truly magic, in every direction. You can't beat waking up to that each morning! The facilities are lovely and comfy, staff are exceptionally attentive and thoughtful, and the food is delicious.
The view is very nice but not special to this place to in order to have that much high score on Booking. All properties have similar views in this neighborhood, rice terraces. The manager Gede is helpful, fair, and honest. Without his help my score would be much lower.
So many things to mention, stunning garden and space, very quiet location with reserved local authentic. Walking distance (ideally with scooter) to jungles, plantations, beautiful rice fields, Jatiluwih…Food in the hotel also very tasty with organic and vegan options.
A remote and quiet setting overlooking the rice terraces. Clean and comfortable, with friendly and accommodating host. Not luxurious, but perfect for a night or two. Host offers simple but fresh and well prepared dinners at very modest price.
The location was excellent. Close to Jatiluwih rice terrace and all popular restaurants in that area.
Felt connected to nature and the hosts were helpful.
You get the mountain view, rice terrace fields view along with a small creek view.
The view is amazing of the rice fields! The location is everything and the room is great for the value. It is super close to walk the rice fields, and there are a ton of restaurants nearby. Staff was friendly, and room was well equipped!
Beautiful location, amazing view, wonderful staff.
Property is absolutely amazing. The sounds of frogs at night was magical. The morning sunrise over the rice terraces was super cool.
Very quiet location.
The location is wonderful - a cool mountain paradise near one of Bali’s most beautiful temples. The grounds are lovely and the bungalows charming. Adi, the man who does everything, is great!
Beautiful location and comfortable cozy rooms. Dewi is a great host and the dinners we ate there were so fresh and delicious. There is a river nearby for swimming! Will definitely be back
