Geriasemalung, hotel in Tirtagangga

Set in Tirtagangga, Geriasemalung offers a garden. There is a terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking.

The manager was great, helpful and offering his motorbike to take me into and pick me up to town. We were right up on the mountain and it was beautiful. He also arranged for food to be brought from the closest Warung (because it's not easy to get into town). Without a doubt though, TG is a magical place, and this place is right up in the hills .. incredible views.

Located inside Tirta Gangga water palace, Tirtagangga Water Palace Villas offers cosy fan-cooled accommodation with a kitchen. It provides free Wi-Fi and free parking.

It's set in spectacular scenery within the water palace. At night, you get to see the water palace after it is closed to the public. Makes it extra special. The staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We organised transport from the airport to take us there and the manager came in person to pick us up. It's about 2.5 hrs from Denpasar. .

Dau Homestay, hotel in Tirtagangga

Set amidst tropical landscapes, Dau Homestay features a private balcony with scenic views of the rice paddy fields. It is a 15-minute walk from Tirta Gangga Water Palace.

Landlord was very friendly and supportive. They got our laundry done and delivered back to our room. It is cheap, so you get what you pay for. We only slept one night as arrived late night to Ubud and then had to move early in the morning to the east.

GumiBali Villa, hotel in Tirtagangga

Set in Tirtagangga, GumiBali Villa features accommodation with seating area.

This is by far the most value-for-money stay I have ever experienced! Our hosts (Made & Kadek) are very kind and treat you like family, they made sure we have a comfortable stay and make the most out of our trip. The view is incredible, the villa is in the middle of rice fields with the clearest view of Mount Agung (all other tourist spots fail in front of this location). Location is great because all main spots are nearby. However, a little isolated from the restaurants/shops but the location is so beautiful that we enjoyed our time away from the fast paced city vibes, be it morning sunsets with a cup of coffee from the terrace or evening walks under the sunset pink hues among the rice fields. We made sure to return to the villa on time (while it was still not very dark, as there is a little walk to take you inside) They have some pets so if you like to play with them, that is an added bonus. Overall, lovely lovely stay, you won't regret it :) Thank you Made & Kadek!

We stayed just one night to visit the Gates of Heaven.

We stayed just one night to visit the Gates of Heaven. I feel is enough to see the surroundings and have a feel of the place. We found the tickets a bit expensive. I mean is a nice place but not to pay 10$. You can see Tirtagangga in 20 minutes, depending on whether you are an instagramer and you take selfies in every corner, then you can stay there for over an hour, although is very difficult to take good selfies as there are people everywhere. Around the entrance, there are a few restaurants and shops. But please I would say to the owners or whoever takes care of this place, tell people not to feed the fish. They are huge! and it's because the shops nearby sell food so you can take a picture with the fish.

We were lucky to arrive when it wasn't peak season, there were still a few posing Instagram poofters that were over the top and holding up the actual view. I'd hoped that they were going to fall in the water!!! \ Nice place to chill out and feed the fish. The bonus here is that there aren't annoying hawkers and street urchins trying to con you out of you cash. It is a temple, enjoy it's peace and tranquility~!

If you want peace and quiet this is the place. I recommend to anyone. The accommodation was unique and the space was excellent. We chose not to but the staff were accommodating and would have arranged day trips if we wanted.

I should that the facilities are cheap and simple.

I should that the facilities are cheap and simple. The only electric equipment is a fan (a good one). The shower works, but floods the floor. It's in an isolated place, on a broken road, and Indonesia's main roads are not for pedestrians. The food however is delicious and cheap.

Very nice place to visit. Taman Tirta Gangga is a must.

Very nice place to visit. Taman Tirta Gangga is a must. Many beautiful ricefields with a view towards Gunung Agung in the region. Pura Lempuyang with the famous gate to heaven, another must see in the region, especially for Instagramers. However, in my view the temple is not worth visiting for the money to be spent there. The obligatory transfer from the parking to cash desk, obligatory rental of sarong, entrance (donation but try not to pay), every photo with Agung view. They charge you on every step. Better visit Tirta Empul or Goa Lawah.

The gardens are quite lovely - but in reality - only takes an hour to walk through them all - more if you stop to take photos every minute... but even with lots of photos 2 hours is more than enough - it is very picturesque - and highly recommend you go as part of a tour - but don't stay in the accommodation.

Love this place more every time, and have visited many times. The location is perfect: who would not love to have a water garden for a front lawn? And the cottages are uniquely charming. The decor is so not hotel! They are delightfully idiosyncratic, and always make me wish I knew the owner. Windra, our host, is always delightful and goes out of his way to make our stay perfect. It is convenient having a reasonably good restaurant with a great view right next door. we cannot wait to go back again!

The beds are clean and comfortable, the hot water came within a few short seconds, the garden well tended to. We also did the ricefields walk to the Aga Bali village of Tenganan, with Ketut (from the hotel) and it was a great 6h discovery of the area. Recommended. Yes, the traffic is a bit noisy at times, but not that much of an issue.

The property is located in a fantastic location facing the Mount Agung and surrounded by the rice fields all around. We enjoyed every minute of these amazing views from the roof top on this house. Our lodge had a lot of space for living unlike classical hotels, and it was a welcome respite

The closeness to Tirtagangga. The breakfast. The fact that the owner took quite good care of the room. The room itself is a place where you would not mind to spend time on a rainy day and read a book. The shower is outside, but that did not derange me. The hot water was working.

In terms of the actual hotel (and restaurant) you can probably find better value for money, but staff is great and location absolutely unbeatable. Having the royal garden all to yourself after the tourist masses have left is very special.
